Youth Grading Requirements


White Belt Requirements

Technical Requirements:
Stances: Front stance (Ap Koobi) & Horse Riding Stance (Chew Chum Seogi)
Hands: Striking & Blocking

- High
- Middle
- Low
- Parry

Feet: Kicks
-Front Snap Kick (Ap Cha Gi)
- Roundhouse Kick (Doll E Yo Cha Gi)

Patterns (Poomse)
Block Pattern
Pattern #1

Sparring (Kyorugi):
Point Style: No contact; to watch for technical merit and basic self control. Also watching for the ability to understand movement (dead side & live side counters), as well as the idea of proper attacking.

Self Defence (Ho Sin Sul)
White belts are not required to learn self-defense due to the fact that in order to apply it proper stances and balance must be known.

Board Breaking (Kyok Pa):
Board breaking techniques are to be learned at a later time.
